Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally referred to as Andra day, is an American R&B musician and singer. The singer has received various accolades including a Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra Days is a ferocious performer who writes beautifully. She is not only a specialist in the throwback genre of R&B Her musical sources are blues and gospel jazz. The debut album of Andra Day, Cheers to the Fall (2015) topped the R&B/hiphop charts. Additionally, her contribution in Marshall (2017) brought the singer the Grammy Award as well as an Academy Award. Amen (2018) Take Care of Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe-winning performance in Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) continue to build anticipation for Day's second full album. Andra, born Cassandra Monique Batie of Edmonds Washington became a resident of San Diego and metropolitan San Diego where she was a student and performed in her church. Following after graduation, she began to explore contemporary R&B, pop and jazz however, she was enticed back to jazz and soul performers of the old. The album featured Rise Up which is now a worldwide music video for social justice campaigns. The album received nominations at least two times for the Grammy Awards. The album was nominated as Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz vocalist. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographical account of Holiday which was released in the in the same year. Andi Matichak is an American actor. Her first appearance was on TV shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods, before debuting in horror films Halloween and sequels. Andi Matichak is an American actress born March 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts, United States of America.
