Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very famous. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by many people in America. If she attended a school competition and received great praise for her performance at the age of 9 the young girl started to gain confidence. The experience not only increased her confidence, but it also changed the direction of her professional career. At the age of 22, she received her degree from the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big breakthroughs. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the part of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater fame. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended version of her play. She's also an activist who is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
